Two of Microsoft's online services has recently obtained an increase in
the quality of security. This security feature enhancements to public
attention after it was revealed some time ago that Microsoft is one
company that is also the target of wiretapping by the U.S. government
through the NSA.
Improving the quality of security is done by providing support
encryption on email service Outlook.com OneDrive and cloud services. The
existence of encryption feature on both of these services is expected
to increase the confidence of users.
Microsoft uses Transport Layer Security technology in his email service,
both for incoming email or outgoing email. With this technology, an
email sent from the server to the server will remain in an encrypted
state. And this feature is also not limited to Microsoft's servers, but
also includes in an email provider that supports similar features.
Meanwhile on OneDrive service, Microsoft now supports Perfect Forward
Secrecy form of encryption (PFS). This feature is said will provide a
higher level of security when sending data from the client to get to
OneDrive local or otherwise. This feature also mentioned going to
provide the level of distress for hackers who are trying to access the
connection between the client and the Microsoft.
